Vista is known as a family friendly community. In a recent book titled, "50 Fabulous Places to Raise Your Family," Vista was voted number 7 in a nationwide survey of communities. Vista offers a wide variety of recreational pursuits, with 15 community parks, two country clubs with golf courses, and North County´s only family water park. Culture thrives in Vista as well. Vista has invested in its economic development. A downtown revitalization project encompassing the Vista Village area features shops, restaurants and the Krikorian metroplex, a 15 screen luxury movie theater.
